VargaMesh expands self-custody tooling with the VMT-1 application-layer token protocol
VMT-1 token state is reconstructed from confirmed VargaMesh transactions while Core consensus remains unchanged; wallet tooling supports CREATE, TRANSFER, BURN and authorized MINT flows.
VargaMesh has expanded its self-custody wallet tooling around VMT-1, an application-layer fungible-token protocol whose state is reconstructed from confirmed VargaMesh mainnet transactions.
VMT-1 does not replace VMESH and does not introduce a separate consensus engine. The VargaMesh Core consensus layer continues to validate ordinary VargaMesh transactions and blocks; VMT-aware indexers interpret the protocol records and reconstruct token state.
Supported operations
- CREATE — establish token parameters and initial supply.
- TRANSFER — move token balances between VargaMesh addresses.
- BURN — permanently reduce token supply.
- MINT — create additional units only where the token policy authorizes the issuer.
Wallet and directory integration
The WebWallet and current wallet tooling expose VMT-1 balances and transaction flows while keeping VMESH signing self-custodial. Public directory metadata is treated separately from chain-derived token state: descriptive metadata can be reviewed before it is published, while confirmed on-chain events remain independently reconstructable.
VMT-1 is an application-layer protocol on VargaMesh; it is not a new VMESH issuance mechanism and does not alter the mainnet block subsidy.
