HOW IT WORKS

Proof that a node is actually alive

MeshProof does not trust a web form. It opens a real VargaMesh P2P connection and performs a fresh randomized liveness challenge.

1RegisterSubmit a public VargaMesh node and payout address.

2HandshakeVerifier requires the VargaMesh mainnet message magic and a valid P2P version handshake.

3ChallengeA cryptographically random 64-bit ping nonce must be returned unchanged in pong.

4ScoreAvailability, sync height, node age and advertised full-node service build the Mesh Score. Latency is measured for visibility but is not scored.

Register a public VargaMesh node

No account is required. MeshProof verifies the node repeatedly and builds a public contribution history.

Only register a node you control or are authorized to operate. The endpoint is intentionally public and must accept VargaMesh P2P connections on port 29666.

COMMUNITY REWARD FUNDING

Treasury-funded, not newly issued

MeshProof does not create VMESH. The daily community reward budget is funded from the publicly declared VargaMesh Ecosystem Treasury and staged through a limited-balance payout wallet.

DAILY SAFETY LIMITS

100 VMESH/day · 10 VMESH/node max.

Each completed UTC day is frozen into one epoch. Eligible contributions are weighted by Mesh Score and observed coverage. No node can receive more than 10 VMESH for one epoch, and the total epoch budget cannot exceed 100 VMESH.

Reward eligibility: Ownership verification is mandatory. A node then needs at least 12 probes in the epoch, at least 90% observed uptime and a Mesh Score of at least 70. Reward weight is Mesh Score × observed epoch coverage; anti-Sybil limits apply per network and payout address.

OWNERSHIP PROOF

Rewards require control of the actual node

Registration alone is not enough. A one-time claim tag must appear in the VargaMesh node's real P2P user agent before the node can become reward-eligible.

2AdvertiseTemporarily add the line to vargamesh.conf and restart the node.

3VerifyMeshProof reads the tag in the real P2P version handshake.

4RemoveAfter verification, remove the temporary uacomment and restart again.

Probe receipts are hash-chained so the public history has an auditable sequence. Reward allocation can be previewed independently from mining rewards.
