Desktop v0.6.1 adds optional live NestEx ticker data and an informational USDT estimate for the confirmed VMESH balance while preserving the local self-custody full-node architecture.
VargaMesh Desktop v0.6.1 adds live VMESH/USDT market information from NestEx and an estimated wallet value in USDT while preserving the existing self-custody full-node architecture.
The displayed wallet estimate is calculated from the trusted or confirmed VMESH balance multiplied by the NestEx last traded price. It is deliberately labelled as an estimate rather than a guaranteed sale or liquidation value.
Market and wallet display
- Last traded VMESH/USDT price, bid and ask when supplied by NestEx.
- Estimated wallet value shown on Dashboard and Wallet views.
- Hide Balances also hides the USDT estimate.
- Market requests can be disabled in Settings.
- Market data failure does not block Core startup, wallet, send/receive, VMT-1 or node functions.
Privacy and reliability
Requests run in the Electron main process and only normalized quote data reaches the sandboxed renderer. No wallet addresses, balances or wallet secrets are sent to NestEx. A direct HTTPS request can still expose the user’s network IP address to the exchange endpoint.
The USDT figure is informational only. Actual execution depends on the live order book, spread, liquidity, slippage and market movement.
