VargaMesh FAQ
The most important technical and practical questions about the VMESH mainnet.
What is VargaMesh (VMESH)?
VargaMesh is a public proof-of-work mainnet using SHA-256d, AuxPoW, ASERT difficulty adjustment and a 120-second block target.
How much is the mining fee?
The current public pool configuration is designed for a 99% miner share and 1% pool/development share. The confirmed coinbase transaction of each block is authoritative for any specific payout.
Which address receives the mining reward?
The current pool implementation uses the valid VMESH address before the first dot in the Stratum username as the miner payout destination. The confirmed coinbase transaction is authoritative.
Is the WebWallet custodial?
No. The WebWallet is designed as a self-custody browser tool and signs locally. The server does not require the private key. Users remain responsible for keys and backups.
Is there a native VargaMesh Android wallet?
Yes. VargaMesh Android v0.3.0 is available as public-testing/pre-release software. It is non-custodial: private keys and wallet passwords remain on the device, transactions are signed locally, and only signed raw transactions are broadcast through the public HTTPS API. Use small test amounts and verify backup/restore before meaningful use.
What is coinbase maturity?
Newly mined coinbase outputs become spendable only after the network-defined maturity period of 100 blocks.
Was there a spendable genesis allocation?
The genesis output is unspendable. Regular VMESH creation begins with mined block rewards.
What mining hardware works?
VargaMesh uses SHA-256d. Hardware supporting SHA-256d and Stratum V1 can generally connect to the public endpoint.
Is the public API the Core RPC?
No. The public API exposes selected JSON endpoints; Core RPC credentials remain private.
Is an exchange listing or future value promised?
No. Third-party exchanges or trading platforms may independently list or support VMESH, but vargamesh.com does not guarantee any listing, price, liquidity, exchange availability, continued tradability or returns.
Does this website classify VMESH as “issuerless”?
No. The website makes no such self-classification. VargaMesh is presented as an open-source public network project; Attila Varga, trading as Varga-Tech, operates vargamesh.com and selected infrastructure. Regulatory classification depends on the actual activity and applicable law.
Does vargamesh.com sell or exchange VMESH?
No. vargamesh.com itself currently provides no ICO, direct token sale, customer purchase/sale or exchange service. Third-party services are independent.
What is VNS / a .vmesh name?
VNS (VargaMesh Name Service) maps a human-readable name.vmesh to a VMESH owner/resolution address using VNS1 OP_RETURN records on VargaMesh. The WebWallet uses commit/reveal so the desired name is not exposed until the registration step.
Registration and renewal cost 10 VMESH per year, paid on-chain to the public Ecosystem Treasury. The commit itself only pays the normal transaction fee. A small 0.001 VMESH owner output controls renew/transfer; VNS-aware wallets should not spend it as an ordinary payment input.
What is VargaProof?
VargaProof is a proof-of-existence system for SHA-256 digests. A file is hashed locally in the browser; only the 32-byte digest is anchored in a VargaMesh OP_RETURN using the VPF1 format.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The public VargaProof page reads and hashes the file locally. Only the SHA-256 digest is transmitted when anchoring or verifying.
What does a VargaProof prove?
It proves that the exact SHA-256 digest existed no later than the confirming VargaMesh block. It does not automatically prove authorship, ownership, contractual validity or the truth of the document contents.
